- This ERTi-2 Titanium TIG Rod was developed for welding Titanium grades 1, 2, 3, and 4. It is the most commonly used titanium alloy in the industrial corrosion market because of its availability and lower cost.
- A very common application of ERTi-2 is in electrolytic applications such as anode substrates for the production of chlorine and sodium chlorate. Also used in process equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, tanks, heat exchangers, shafts, blowers and fans, condenser tubing, valves, fitting, and pipes.
- These rods comply with AWS A 5.16 - ERTi-2, EN ISO 24034 - STi-0120 (Ti 99, 6) and DIN 1737 - SG Ti 2. - Recommended GTAW Welding Parameters DCEN (DC-) Shielding gas - use 100% Argon or Argon/Helium for greater penetration and higher speeds Tungsten - use 2% Thoriated, 2% Ceriated, 2% Lanthanum or Rare Earth.

- ERTi-1. Grade 1 is the lowest strength unalloyed (or Commercially Pure) grade. Grade 1 is used in applications where ductility is paramount, such as explosive cladding, loose linings, expanded metal, and deep drawing applications.
- Commonly used in cryogenic and petrochemical applications such as chemical process heat exchangers, pressure vessels and piping systems, electrochemical storage tanks. It is also used in electrolytic applications like coated anode substrates for the production of chlorine and sodium chlorate.
- The weld deposit is ductile and offers excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing environments. ERTi-1 is the purest grade and is suitable for welding Titanium grade 1, 2, 3, and 4. These rods comply with AWS A 5.16 - ERTi-1, UNS - R50100, EN ISO 24034 - STi-0100 and DIN 1737 - SG Ti 1.

- This ERTi-5 (Grade 5) Titanium Rod is commonly referred to as 6Al/4V or simply 6-4 and its primary use is for TIG welding and has a composition alloy of 6% aluminum + 4% vanadium + Balance Titanium.
- Applications - Aerospace, marine, chemical plants, process plants, power generation, oil and gas extraction, medical and sports, aircraft industry components such as landing gear, wing spars, compressor blades as well as turbine engine parts. Other applications include cryogenic and petrochemical industries where higher strength welds in corrosive environments are required.
- ERTi-5 exhibits an ultimate tensile strength of 130,000 psi min, good weldability and can be heat treated to higher strength or toughness. Its corrosion resistance is generally comparable to Grade 2 and it is often used in corrosion service where higher strength is required, particularly in shafts, high strength bolting, and keys.
